We offer public transportation services for everyone!

Do you need a ride to work, the grocery store, doctor appointments 
or just to visit a friend? GoBus will pick you up at your home or specified location and take you to the destination of your choice.  

We offer Demand Response service within Smith County Tuesday - Thursday from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM and extended service hours Friday - Monday from 6:30 AM to 10:00 PM.

Please note: we do not service the urbanized areas of Smith County.

Trips are reservation based and must be made at least 24 hours in advance and are first come, first served, based on availability.

Active military and veterans ride free! 

Fare is due upon boarding the bus, please have exact change. We accept cash, check, or credit card. 

Customers may also purchase a reloadable GoPass for multiple trips.

Tyler Transit is the designated urban (city) public transportation provider in the Tyler area offering fixed route transportation. GoBus does not provide service originating in the city limits 
of Tyler.

What to expect on the day of your trip

  • Be ready two hours before your scheduled drop off time. (if you need to be at your destination by 10 a.m., be ready at 8 a.m.
  • When the driver arrives they will wait 5 minutes for you to come outside and board the bus.
  • When you are ready for a return pickup call GoBus and they will pick you up within an hour.
  • There will be other passengers on board because GoBus is a shared-ride service.

Accessibility & Safety

Our vehicles are wheelchair accessible and GoBus drivers are trained in securing mobility devices. We integrate passenger assistance, safety and sensitivity (PASS) training and our drivers are DOT certified.
