We offer public transportation services for everyone!

Do you need a ride to work, the grocery store, doctor appointments or just to visit a friend? GoBus will pick you up at your home or specified location and take you to the destination of your choice.  We offer Demand Response service within Gregg County Monday - Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Please note: We do not service any urbanized areas in Gregg County. 

Trips are reservation based and must be made at least 24 hours in advance and are first come, first served, based on availability.

Out of county service to Tyler is on Thursday. Approximate arrival time into Tyler  is 10 AM and departure is 2 PM.

Fare is due upon boarding the bus, please have exact change. We accept cash, check, or credit card. Customers may also purchase a reloadable GoPass for multiple trips.

Longview Transit is the designated urban (city) public transportation provider in the Longview area offering fixed route transportation. GoBus does not provide service originating in the city limits of Longview.

Service Expansion for Longview Urbanized Areas

GoBus and Longview Transit have partnered to bring transit service back to the Longview Urbanized Area for Seniors (65+) and persons with disabilities (any age)! Fare is covered by a grant. Service is now available in the green shaded area, outside the city limits of Longview. Trips are scheduled at least 24 hours in advance and up to two weeks in advance by calling 800-590-3371.

What to expect on the day of your trip

  • Be ready two hours before your scheduled drop off time. (if you need to be at your destination by 10 a.m., be ready at 8 a.m.
  • When the driver arrives they will wait 5 minutes for you to come outside and board the bus.
  • When you are ready for a return pickup call GoBus and they will pick you up within an hour.
  • There will be other passengers on board because GoBus is a shared-ride service.
  • When traveling into the urbanized areas of Tyler on Thursday, be sure to schedule appointments after 10 a.m. and be ready to leave by 2 p.m.

Accessibility & Safety

Our vehicles are wheelchair accessible and GoBus drivers are trained in securing mobility devices. We integrate passenger assistance, safety and sensitivity (PASS) training and our drivers are DOT certified.
